Re: HELP: Finished Yocto—Low Tom doesn't sound :-(

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I have an update! I replaced Q50 and checked that C82 is correctly positioned. I also rechecked the solder points on VR10. I don't have any more 2SA733 trannies. More importantly, I changed speakers, and the Low Clave DOES sound, but I can only hear it when the to...

Re: HELP: Finished Yocto—Low Tom doesn't sound :-(

There is no Low Conga sounding either. The Snare, Mid Tom, and High Tom all sound good. Any idea what voltages and/or waveforms I should be seeing at Q50, 51, and 52? I replaced U13. Problem is still present. Oh, and. . . you're my hero—the case is AMAZING! When you say every other voice works, does...

HELP: Finished Yocto—Low Tom doesn't sound :-(

Every other voice sounds good. I did the original service manual mod in the Noise section. I'm wondering if that affected the Low Tom. I have resoldered every point in the Low Tom section. I've replaced the 4558C and the 1N60P diodes. I see normal voltage on pads of 4558C. I'm having trouble searchi...

Re: Cymball voltage on U5 testing low by .5V

Hi, ikke :-) I finished the build and everything sounds good EXCEPT the Low Tom, which doesn't sound at all. I have tried everything from resoldering every point to replacing the 4558 and diodes. I see normal voltage across the 4558. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I just finished building the Cymball and I am...

Re: My Yocto Sounds Amazing!.. but bassdrum is a bit strange

Wow, sucks you aren't getting replies!

I wonder if this forum should be shifted over to Facebook or something. It's much easier to get help with a TR-9090 build on FB than it is to get Yocto help here.

Replacement for Schmitt Trigger HD14584?

My e-licktronic kit did not come the Schmitt Trigger HD14584. I don't know much about Schmitt Triggers. Can I replace the missing one with any off-the-shelf parts? I'm also a bit confused because the PDF "Detail Yocto Kit" calls this part HC14584N, which doesn't exist in any database I can...

Another bump. Does anyone have a link to parts list for improved caps?

Cymball voltage on U5 testing low by .5V

I am building the Yocto, section by section, right now. I just finished building the Cymball and I am seeing only +13.9V and -14.4V on U5. This is about a half-volt less than I have been seeing when testing op-amp pads in other sections. Can someone advise how to bug-chase the dropped voltage on thi...

Re: Can't get matching +/- voltages (help!)

Oh, that's great advice! I just figured I had put the thing through so much misery that it had finally checked out. EDIT: Battery replaced and Herr Mastech is back on fleek :-) Nice to see you got it sorted out! Having a look at your second measurements (when you placed the resistor between -15V and...
