Hello!
I'm in the process of building a Yocto, everything has being going good until I noticed that 3 out of 6 germanium diodes seem to have gone bad, and I'll have to replace them at the hardware store on monday. Because of that I haven't been checking voltages since snare drum, but I figured I'd build a few more drums, and I am currently at the rimshot section. In the build guide it says:
"R334 and R373 are part of the Handclap section and not the Rimshot. Do not mount resistance to the moment at these locations."
I was wondering if I'm safe to continue building and testing voltages in a couple of days, I'm fairly confident in my building skills and I measure every component and triple check before soldering. Will mounting resistance to these areas, R334 and R373, have some bad effect due to the absence of op amps in the rimshot circuit?
Any help appreciated, and btw this project is awesome!
Question about R334 and R373 (rimshot/handclap)
Hi,
Just do as said, the rimshot voltages will measure fine without them. By the time you reach the handclap, you will be instructed to mount them anyway.
Enjoy your build!

Thanks for the response, but I'm not sure if I get what you are saying. Is it safe for me to continue into the handclap despite not having inserted IC's or measured voltages on the rimshot?
