All of my continuity readings check out there (when testing from the IC Pins and resistor legs, not the pads).
Where should I look next?
Eeprom Initialization Issues / Question [SOLVED]
Is the next step to swap chips?
there is no other option i think
I swapped it out with a new IC - still can't get past the Play/Enter prompt to initialize.
I still have continuity between enter and IC105.
What is the next point down the line? Mine is 1.1, I haven't seen any schematics for the new version.

Is Shift, Clear, Last Step, instrument, scale button working ?
If not IC100 is dead, replace it

Will those functions work without initializing the eeprom?
I'm not clear as to what should or shouldn't work prior to initializing.

Swapped out IC100 and now all of those functions seem to work - before the buttons lit up, but the screen didn't change - they do now.
Should the nava work 100% without EEprom initialization?
The manual covers deeper functions, but not simple pattern editing.
I'm assuming that selecting an instrument and hitting buttons 1-16 should create a pattern with that instrument, but currently none of those instrument/step buttons light up.
Does adjusting the 5V after inserting ICs run the risk of burning those ICs? I rarely experience bad ICs in a build.

What IC controls the LEDs for the step switches and enter? I assumed they would be the same as the ones for the switches, but i'm not sure.
My LEDs should be correct but they don't light, when the unit plays. I can trigger drums out in tap mode, and change instruments, so I know the switches work, but they don't light.
I'm wondering if the EEProm actually is being initialized, but I can't see the progress....

have you checked the polarity of the led's ? it is unlikely that all led's or drivers ic's are not working.
