Re: HELP Needed MC OH/HH /Cymbal real quiet
you could check the actual supply rails to those opamps, but they're probably fine did you check the resistors on the IO board? they are used as passive mixing, so they set the actual mixing gains the signal around there is probably gonna be weak, so you could check if there's something maybe pullin...

Re: snare tone pot reverse pitch
it's not "pitch", so there's no "tuning" the snare is a burst of noise (the snappy) mixed with the "body" the "body" itself is made up from two resonators at different frequencies, and the TONE parameter is a "balance" between them just to be clear, ...

Re: Yocto midi out what does it do
MIDI out is there because the yocto sequencer outputs MIDI data it outputs MIDI sync (so you can slave another device with it), and it probably also outputs the note mapped from the drums as they're played (so you can send them into a drum module, or record them into a DAW, etc..) MIDI sync has no &...

Re: Internal->External PSU mod
as i said in the first post, i already have that mod, my yocto came with it (sort of) now whether it is implemented the same way - i can't tell with this thread i am talking about taking that mod and moving it "outside" the yocto case i read some stuff about mains voltage, earthing, safety...

Re: Cowbell is triggering on every step. Lol/wtf
i pretty much didn't learn anything in school, so i guess i'm more "self-taught" i've gone from interest in music creation (on computer) to interest in sound synthesis and processing (in parallel i learned mIRC scripts for silly reasons), then SynthEdit, then i learned C++ in order to make...

Re: Cowbell is triggering on every step. Lol/wtf
the cpu generates individual triggers (like gates) for each instrument as well as the "accent" and shifts them out serially onto shift registers (IC5, IC9) then, the accent trigger goes into a circuit which turns it into a voltage level dependant on the accent knob, this is then labbeled a...

Re: Internal->External PSU mod
The only purpose of a groundloop breaker is to avoid ground loop hum when you interconnect different audio devices together with all of them connected to mains. i'm interconnecting the yocto together with two x0xb0xes (on AC-AC adapters), a korg ES-1 (AC-DC adapter without earth connection), the co...

Re: Internal->External PSU mod
mine isn't toroidal, as you can see in the pic
i'm not familiar with transformers too much, but i think i read somewhere that toroidal transformers are supposedly better insulated or something
also, are you with a metal case and are you using the "loop breaker"?

Re: Official Yocto BUGS list
i'm pretty sure the yocto sequencer (at least in my version, which i haven't updated myself) has sync issues when slaved (be it by midi or dinsync) it works fine when it's master, but when i slave it to my x0xb0x via dinsync or midi - it fails to start on the right clock (iirc it runs late) FYI: my ...

Re: Greetings from the new official firmware developer
as_hex2syx can convert almost any avr *.hex into a file containing sysex packets, HOWEVER, this doesn't mean they will be accepted by the yocto bootloader it all comes down to how the bootloader expects the data to be sent (which i don't know) still, if we figure that out - then as_hex2syx can be ea...
