The clap on mine sounds similar to yours but the volume of the clap is very low. I'm not sure what would be the cause. I tried adjust adjusting the trims but as I make it louder it sounds a lot less like a clap.

Hi Guys, Patrick was so kind and exchanged Resistor R44 with a Trimmer set to 50k. I was able to tune my Cowbell to the exact tune of an original 808 (Db / Ab).
