is it possible to activate mutes in EXPANDER mode? if not, this would be a way useful firmware update

Hello All,
This is my second kit and I am still learning lots about electronic circuits and their tolerances. I have assembled the power section and i am reading -17v on the -15v rail. Is this still useable? What would i need to switch out to bring it down?
