Re: Nava Extra9 for sale
Hi there, i had the same problem. You need to use shielded audiocables to bring the noise from the Nava to the Extra9 mod and back. That solves the problem!

Re: Extra 9 Mod Hihat filter humming
@gihaume Thank you very much - my Hihat filter is almost clean now! Another problem...i checked the bassdrum with the E9 mod now, and found that it gets noisy when the E9 mod is in place. It´s around the Pitch modulation of the Extra9. The circuit is passive and so simple that there can not be a mis...

Re: Extra9 - NAVA Expansion Kits
@gihaume Thank you! With another powersupply most of the hum is gone. There is still some humming depending on the position of cútoff and envelope potentiometers....not a psu problem any more.. Someone wrote: "At last I had to change some resistors value to get the HH filter quiet. I replaced R...

Re: Extra 9 Mod Hihat filter humming
@ Klanggenerator Thank you for for answer... These capacitors are good. As i use a 16V power supply now, most of the hum is gone - but, depending on the settings of utoff and envelope potentiometers there is still some humming to hear....also when i use a 18V power supply. Also: when i switch in the...

Extra 9 Hihat humming problem
Hello there! I am almost finished with the E9 mod. Nava was tested without mod: perfect. Everything works fine with the mod, but when i switch in the filter on the Hihat, it basically works (HP/BP/LP) but with terrible hum on it, changing a bit when turning cutoff or envelope on the E9. Sounds a bit...

Re: Display is dead, no function, but all voltages ok
HAHA!!! Solved the problem. On the PSU board i discovered there was a "R40" missing, which is not mentioned in the building instructions and not even found in the .brd file!!!!!!
Nava 1.02 board: add a bridge where R40 is written on the PSU board - near J10.

Re: Display is dead, no function, but all voltages ok
...and i found out one more thing....the 5V i measured on the Pin 10 (Power supply) on the processor is measured against the "GND" Test point TP1. not against the GND Testpoint on the ICSP connector - its just round 2,5V. These two GND test points seem not being connected with each other.....

Re: Display is dead, no function, but all voltages ok
....i checked the two connections from the CPU to the crystal. Continuity is ok, but there is only a little DC voltage (checked with oszillograph)...maybe the CPU gets no clock? How should the signal on CPU pin 12&13 look like?
That would make sense that nothing is working at all.....
Thank you!

Display is dead, no function, but all voltages ok
Hello, i just wanted to boot my first Nava, but i get no response on the display, no LEDs lit etc.... Voltages are fine. Pin 1 on IC118 (MCP4822) is 5V, Pin 2 of the LCD Display is also 5V, and on the ICSP connector is also 5V where it should be. Pin 10 of the Processor has also 5V like it should be...
