Feature Request - MIDI Pattern Save/Dump via Sysex

It would be very useful to be able to back up your patterns via Sysex dump. I've also requested in another thread that the sequencer output MIDI information so live performances can be recorded for future manipulation or playback (essentially live backup also!).
I believe the sequencer is the same in the Yocto 2 and the Nava, so these features would be beneficial for all E-Licktronic users!
If it's not possible for the makers to implement these features, maybe the firmware could be shared or made open source for further development by the users?
