Open High Hat- intermittent fault, no decay and short crunch

Postby seven » Jun 20th, '20, 09:59

I've got an intermittent fault with Yocto V1 with the open High Hat having no decay when turning knob and just a crunchy corrupt burst of sound with just attack sounding fine, then it fixes itself to correct and later fault returns.

I've sent it to tech and he cannot replicate it(now working Again), but I fear if not fixed the problem will return after I get it back, any idea of this fault, something starting to degrade or bad connection?

Thanks..

This sounds like a bad connection to me. It's not fun, but I think you'll have to go over the circuit very carefully checking for cold solder joints, cracks, etc. Good luck! I hope you fix it! This type of problem is frustrating I know, but nearly impossible to debug over the internet...
