midi transmit
I just tried the Nava with midi connected to it, i am having a bit of trouble playing it from my external gear, but working on it. Now i couldnt find any information but my oscilloscope tells me, the Nava only sends timing Midi information out, is that right?? I can see my midi RX channel up to the ...

Re: Nava Schematic Errors
in the official schematic ( nava ) C54 is 4n7 and R194 is 100k... so already built in. but try playing aroung with C54 probably takes or gives some speed, whatever that causes to the sound, and with R194 and R193 you can alter the gain of the tom noise output stage, so maybe try playing around, will...

hey dwreck, liked your blog. Now that I finished my Nava I can try to help you, mine unfortunetly for you :) worked fine from first shot on, but this isnt my first project and so on I can probe around to see what is missing in your circuit, but you have to tell me what you miss or what you wanna kno...

Re: LCD still too dim
I do use some lcds I had leying around, they seem all to have different resistors inside of them, but mine works with the external resistor soldered to 0 Ohm. another point, I think the trim resistor is for contrast only, it has nothing to do with the brightness of the backlight led. Backlight Leds ...

Re: Nava Schematic Errors
yes you can show different layers in eagle and print them.
But in the elicktronic nava case, only the actual elements as resistors caps etc... are shown, not the copper lines.
So its good for identifiying elements witht heir values and such, but not for finding connections between those.

Re: Nava Schematic Errors
the board file is available, so you can take this to look at certain elements in eagle, which is kind of handy, for copy reasons they did only give the brd file, without the routing. with the show command in eagle you can then directly find elements: eg. show r115, highlights the resistor 115 and sh...

http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/polyester-film-capacitors/1082362/ yes take some film capacitors not the ceramic multilayer, although probably you woudntl hear the difference´.. still for audio analog signal chain, it is recommended to use caps with better dielectric frequency stability than X7R. The ...

Re: Nava Schematic Errors
to quote Victor?! Second batch Nava mother PCB v1.01 will be updated with all errors corrected ok so now I do have a nava stating 1.0l could very well be it means v1.01. Does that mean i do need the pinswap on the bipolar ones in the snare section? Or is mine already like the original 909 schematics...

Re: List of current bugs october 2016
12.10.2016 eagle *.brd file still contains the wrong values for the 47nF film caps - mostly stating the old WRONG 470nF I gotta say this, the project is not really complicated, its basically jsut a copy of the roland , lets call it open source, documentation... I appreciate the work and 350€ is not ...

Re: Sequencer build, Led resistors value
its pretty simple, each of the resistors 220ohm or 1k2 resistors, so called, forward led resistor, by me :) they do adjust the brightness of the led, the lower the resistor the brighter the led, the more current is drawn, you can of course use whatever led colour you want. different colours have dif...
