Flavio, it is for use with the external instrument track.
Keyboard mode is the way to enter the notes you want the external instrument to play, the pattern is done in step time with ext. selected as instrument.
And I indeed meant v1.028beta

Bug: When using EXT instrument it seems impossible to save the notes entered in keyboard mode.

Can anyone confirm this is in v1.028 ?
