Re: Build log with photos & build guide addendum
Here is some additional fun... At least, i experienced some sort of feeling that could be well described as "cognitive dissonance". Respect the orientation of the leds. Long legs must match with positive symbol on the silkscreen. [resize=500]http://www.e-licktronic.com/img/cms/Nava%20tuto%...

Re: [SOLVED] Clap fucking, clap VCA burning!
I think it's an error in the design, as there is already more than enough BA6110 "grilled".. Now i desoldered socket and modified pcb (cut the traces around pin3), i think i would also leave it floating for now, until i would figure for sure where it must be connected. When the bipolar tra...

Re: [SOLVED] Clap fucking, clap VCA burning!
Can't quite understand how this defect would be looking like on the pcb. Something is shorted to the GND where it should be not..? I measured the resistance between BA6110 pin3 and closest pin of R201 and it seems to be connected, also the resistance between BA6110 pin3 and GND...and they also seems...

Re: Mix Out Noisy/Distorted
Don't want to make another thread, so bumpin' this. I'm building the remaining seq&mixer part currently and if i understand correctly, i can omit safely all the parts that is belong to the muting circuit [ To name the parts exactly - C142, C143, D193, D194, D195, R468, R469, R470, R471, R472, Q8...

Re: IC CD4011BE from tayda not Unbuffered (CD4011UBE)
The same situation for me, somewhere between "fun" and "ridiculous" now, when the second china seller send me CD4011BE instead of CD4011UBE... So i have 33 *BE chips now (lol), first 3 was in tayda order, then ordered 20.. ..and then another 10... More than 2 months passed while ...

Re: [solved] Bass Drum BUZZZ
yeah, it picks up any interference :> I actually meant shielded cables not isolated :D hehe, the funny thing is that i was thinking exact in that way... but the other problem is where to connect the shield - obviously, not to the GND, the whole fix is about to put the trace away from the ground pla...

Re: [solved] Bass Drum BUZZZ
does someone use isolated wires? After I did the bassdrum mod to get rid of the buzz I noticed that the bd circuit is pretty sensitive picking up hum and other interference from the wires, specially the power supply ones.. just try and move a wire closer to the area where q6 and q12 are  fur...

Re: Bass Drum BUZZZ
>Have anyone tried to solder all metal film resistors I will try that when i start to assemble the BD circuit / section, as i have all metal film resistors besides the 10k ones. (Only carbon 10k were available at the time of the first tayda order, but i have already ordered metal film 10k, waiting t...

Re: Bass Drum BUZZZ
So, as the IC11A is a half of M5218L IC..
Maybe it's also worth looking at another part of the circuit with IC11B?
I would suggest try to disconnect ACCENT_BD from opamp and short C89,
so the opamp IN+ would be connected to GND, and check if the noise is still there.

Re: Bass Drum BUZZZ
It was interesting to read, and i can advise try to put some inductance between AGND and DGND
( "ferrite bead", or take any ferrite core + wire and do some winding - the shorter is better ).
You can try to desolder ML5218L, bend the pin3, and solder it back with inductance in pcb/pin3.
