Just a question, the BOM calls for stereo jacks. I looked at the schematics which look like there drawn so that the ring has the sound, which would be a bad deal and don't match what is traceable on the board. Also looking at the board it's multilayered so you can't trace everything out so ...


Is stereo Jacks necessary or can I use mono Jacks.

I bought some extra mono jacks a while back and I just want to double check before buying the other.

Mono jacks should be fine. The ring on it the stereo jack is unconnected. The one advantage of using stereo jacks is that there is a stronger mechanical connection by virtue of having an extra two soldered connections.
