Controlling Pattern Selection and more with MIDI

I haven't gotten to build my Yocto yet, but I was wondering if it was possible to send pattern change messages via MIDI. Perhaps the different patterns could be assigned to keys on the keyboard, so I could sequence them in order with my MPC. Being able to do something similar with mute and solo would be great as well. Is anything like this possible as of now? Thanks!
