Hello,
I'm not sure if this topic was already addressed somewhere but I think it is interesting:
- what was the main idea behind this 808 kit ?
- why e-licktronic (fantastic company name btw) decided to launch this project ?
- what were or are the main project challenges ?
- what components were the most difficult to source
- who designed the pcb or coded the software ?
- to which extend the software code is cloning the tr-808
- what cloning technics for the soft/sound engine were used ? How does this compare to Roland ACB -:)
- what's the future ? Open source one day ? Built yocto for sale 808 ?

Wow many questions already -:)

Take care

It's a hardware clone, not software.

Thanks a lot for this information, so the 808 sequencing groove is mainly a legend ?

This makes it possible to easily make incredible groove with a 808, it is the quality of its sound. (Clap his has reverb, the snare has a nice snappy, BD is beautiful, among others) for her it is very basic sequencer.
