Direct Pattern Change!

Happy new Nava owner here.

I'd like to suggest an addition for the next firmware update.

Direct pattern change, as implemented in the Analog RYTM, is the option to have the pattern change instantaneously rather than waiting until the end of the bar.

I haven't seen this feature on many other machines, but if it is possible to implement this, it is without a doubt the most musically useful feature I've ever encountered on a sequencer.
It allows the user to have several more busy patterns which can be 'punched' into for as little as one or two steps, at any point, before then punching back into the main pattern or whichever pattern you choose. It is, in my opinion, the most intuitive way of achieving fills, and would take this machine to another level!

I hope this makes sense. And I guess, if you were to implement this, it would also be nice to be able to choose from some other pattern change quantisation(?) behaviours. Choices could range from: The traditional "change at the end of the bar", or "change at the next 1/4 note", or "change at the next 1/8 note". But most importantly.. "Direct Change" Ie. Change NOW!

I would love to see this feature implemented if the hardware will allow for such a thing..

Hello,

I'm an ordinary user so I don't have deep knowledge of the Nava system but a few ideas/remarks.

I believe that the flashing button means you're in pattern step edit mode, not play mode.
The error sounds a little bit like there's something wrong with a step counter, maybe you should check soldering of logic IC:s?
It sounds a little bit like you're in chain mode also but maybe that's me misunderstanding your description.
Also, the 909-system is not quite like the Nava system. A lot of functionality is different so the manual for 909 is not of so big use.
