Hi,

The m5218 will have a vertical line printed towards one side. That would indicate the side of pin 1. On the pcb pin 1 is indicated by "1" and a square shape on the silkscreen.

The 2SD1469 has a little notch on the top, which corresponds to the marking on the pcb silkscreen.
you can also see it on the picture in the build guide: http://www.e-licktronic.com/fr/content/ ... -snaredrum

Cheers

My 2SD1469:s does not have a notch. Seems like the upper side plastic is kind of uneven making it impossible to really see a notch. If I have the text facing towards me and legs downeards, would the emitter (1) be the leftmost leg?

Sorry I missed this and now everything is closed up and hidden in the closure. If I find some pictures or notes I'll post them.
