yocto 1 vs 2 - differences in sound?

have any of you noticed any particular sonic differences betwixt the 1 and 2? i have poked around at some videos on youtube and things just sound a bit... different. not sure what it is, can't put my finger on it. not many vids of the v2 up online, either.
i assume some components have changed across versions...
