Illuminated square tactile buttons don't fit front panel

Hi everyone,

We're finishing up our Nava, and got one of the super nice Kacper cases.

We've hit an embarrasing snag: the illuminated square tactile buttons (six on the right, 11 in the top row over the cherry keys) don't fit the front panel.
They technically go through, but e.g. for the bank button and the 3 leftmost buttons, the base seems just a little tilted and the buttons won't trigger (mechanically stuck). They do work without the case.

We have a lot a lot of DIY Eurorack experience now and realize we should have fitted the pots and knobs with the case, and soldered only then -
on the other hand, we did a lot of mods (34 of which we kept) and needed the buttons installed and working for testing.

Has anyone had this problem, and (how) were you able to solve it?

Thankful for all pointers!

If the buttons work without the case, it will be best to desolder them and then fit them again with the case installed. If you need help with desoldering let me know. I think I remember we are almost neighbors. I have already desoldered a lot of those knobs and therefore feel pretty comfortable about this... ;)
