Hi,

I was wondering does anyone know any good potentiometer replacement that are a bettet quality.

I’ve already replaced my main volume potentiometer and the menu alert is fine but the others would defiantly be better if they were more sturdy and smoother.

Any ideas ?

Cheers :)

I tried some from Bourns and was very disappointed. The shafts were too wobbly. Overall I found the quality of the generic ones from Vincent a lot better. But the Bourns are definately smoother.

A104 (100KA) with correct dimensions is this one:

Be aware that they are a tad different. The D-shaft doesn't go all the way down to the body and needs to be filed. Other values are available too. But watch out for the shaft type and length, as they can be different. The manufacturer number must read "4030F". "4" stands for horizontal mount, "0" is no detent, "30" is the shaft length (30mm) and "F" means flat type insulated shaft.

Thanks Klang,

Excellent info mate, appreciate it and credit where it’s due, I believe it was your post that identified the master volume potentiometer upgrade as well, so thanks for that also.

Cheers
