Maracas and BD Level

Hello everyone,

It seems i've come to the end of my build. After fighting to understand the behavior of the 4051 it seems that everything is working now. However i've got some questions about the volume of Maracas and Bass Drum.
Indeed i've never played any live 808 so i don't know much about the volume we're expected but i found the bassdrum quite low as opposed to other instruments. Typically i found that the low tom is stronger than the bass drum. And in general i need to put the bass drum to max and the others to two third if i want to hear it well. Is it normal or is there an issue? I know it seems difficult to analyse but anyway if someone as the answer ^^

As for the maracas, it's the same, when in handclap mode no problem but the maracas is very quiet. Is it normal or not?

Thanks in advance,

Marti

There's a post about matching output levels on the Yocto v1: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=414&p=2613&hilit=cowbell#p2613
Maybe could be applied on the Yocto v2?

Thanks for the link. That's exactly what i was looking for. The I/O Board is similar so I think I will be able to change the output level of the BD.

Now for the maracas as it is connected to the HandClap and the HandClap is already really loud I don't think there is a way to change only the output of maracas. I will try to study the schematics more ^^.
