[Solved] LCD not working & TP1 not adjusting..

Holding enter and turning on NAVA: I do not get "TM2 adjustment process". I try adjusting LCD contrast and get nothing. I try adjusting TM2 to measure +5V at TP1, but only measure -.005V

Holding Start+stop and powering on NAVA, following pressing Start + Enter: I get nothing on the LCD.. Adjusting TM3 does nothing..

Checking sounds despite non-working LCD: The ride completely distorts when i increase pitch, almost sounds like a SID chip or something, then distorts completely the higher pitch..Hi hats sound distorted and not at all like 909. Crash is extremely quiet even with level knob on full. I am missing IC43, but that's for the Hi Tom..

Also each time I power on the Nava, the start key triggers different instruments it seems like..I've never owned a 909 but this doesn't sound like correct behavior.

I soldered the LCD on one side with the header pins, and left the plastic on them, that should be fine right? (Can be seen in these pictures http://imgur.com/a/Aojuq)

Any ideas of what to check for?

Very much appreciate the help/input I've got so far, but I'm afraid I need to ask for more!

I'm actually getting no continuity anywhere on the LCD to the points on the schematic...

I suppose I will de-solder the LCD, and re-test these points, then try to re-solder if the continuity is there.

Edit: Removed LCD and continuity is there. Guess it's not a good idea to leave the plastic on the header pins...

I did destroy 2 pads removing the LCD where tracks are. Never have repaired a pad before! Guess I'll try to find some electrical conductive paint?

Does it light up on power up?

No activity from the LCD whatsoever. The sequencer and tact switches light up and look correct though, so that's good at least.
