Roll function locking the whole system!

Hi there.
Got a strange issue: when I enter the roll function, I cannot exit it anymore! I press "shift" and nothing happens. I can't even stop/start the clock! The Yocto remains stuck on whatever pattern it is playing! I have to disconnect power and reconnect - only then it works again. But still, as soon as I enter ROLL, it remains stuck in the roll function of that pattern: no pattern change, no start/stop, no shift working!

Any help on this?

Thanks,
Flavio.

hmm.. I haven't noticed this. I assume it isn't in expander mode - or it also does it there?

Hi again.
I now did the following:
  • EEPROM initialisation - didn't solve the problem
reinstalled via SysEx firmware version 1.0c - didn't solve the problem
What can I do now?

The shift button is working, because it triggered (together with start/stop) the EEPROM init function.
While the Yocto is locked in the roll mode, I can switch through the modes with the upper rotary selector and nothing changes in behavior when pressing stop, shift or whatever button.
When I move it into the "Track" position, then it stops playing (of course). Going back to "12 'o'clock" position (Pattern play) and pressing start again, the sequencer doesn't start anymore and instead the roll LED starts heavily blinking.

Please - does anybody know what to do now?

Thanks,
Flavio.

Hi there!
The problem was on R46 and R48 being "cold soldered": one leg of those resistors disconnected and so it was not working as expected anymore. In fact, only after re-soldering R46 the problem disappeared (I re-soldered R48 at first, not noticing R46 being wacky as well).
