I'm having problems with the open hihat. It sounds very harsh and almost distorted. The pitch also seems lower than the closed hat. The closed hat and cymbal sound fine. I've tried adjusting the trimmers and set the up using my scope.. the pitch changes but the quality of the sound is still bad.
Any clues as to the cause or ideas as to any tests I can do?
