Nava freezes in play mode and unable to upload Sysex

Hey All,

After the first changing of the initially wrong EEPROM for the correct one the Nava has been working.
Lately it randomly freezes after a coupe of sequences, random as in sometimes after 4 bars, sometimes after 3 minutes of play time. (seems to work better in record mode than in play mode)
When it runs, it runs though if I don't touch anything....... as soon as i touch a button it freezes. (in step mode or tap mode it seems to work fine)
Currently it's running 1.017, but trying to update to an older or newer firmware doesn't work as it freezes every time after about 30% of the upload and it shows the 1.017 firmware version that's currently installed on the IC.
Going to order a new chip this week and change out and upload the latest firmware to see if that makes a difference, but that maybe isn't the fix I'm looking for.

Anyone has had a similar problem and has a fix for it?

Freezing issues here as well.

If I don't press the start button within 10 seconds after boot, it freezes.

Currently using 1.018 firmware. Does .020 resolve such issues?

And yet again, no useful answer in almost two months time.
The Nava is useless to me right now after lots of hard work and money spent.

It worked before, I strongly suspect it went wrong when trying to update the firmware.
Please, some support.

Dear Diyer,

Freeze issue could come from a hardware issue. Like constant connected/unconnected pins due to bad solder.
Check switches solder carefully, then check sequencer ICs voltage too.

If Sysex update still not work you need an AVR ISP burner like Arduino or any other one.
I will code a hardware debug firmware to test each shift registers, buttons, leds and EEprom.
