Hey! Could you clarify a bit about the enclosures availability ? Will it be in the same time as the kit, near or for sure not ready at all ?

A friend of mine "HappyMum" designed Nava metal box. She told me that she should receive boxes before the end of June. I think she will open a new topic soon to get more details about price, shipping cost, availability... I will ask her

I just heard back from Chiashin and they can do these in a D. They are cheap, a fraction of the Sifam parts but I would need to get 2000 of them. 25 day lead time
There is also a matching 16mm diameter one:

Just put everyone in ! Let's force them !
Seriously, they could be sold with the cases ! They're matching so well.
I prefer this darker grey, and you ?

Also the groove painted in orange would be important...

southpole wrote:small note on the BOM: it's worth going through, some parts are just below the threshold to 100 piece discount and for some components there is a price drop to 1/3 the individual component price which can make the BOM cheaper by ordering a bit more... (probably not news for veterans here)
Good tip! There aren't many components worth over-ordering, but I spent 30 minutes going through the BOM and shaved about $5.50 off the price. Thought I might save others the trouble..
1n4148 Diodes (BOM = 95 x $0.053 each ($5.04); but 100 are x $0.019 ($1.90))
1Kohm 1/4W 1% Resistors (BOM = 58 x $0.08 ($4.64); but 100 are x $0.032 ($3.20))
22Kohm 1/4W 1% Resistors (BOM = 45 x $0.092 ($4.14); but 100 are x $0.037 ($3.70))
100Kohm 1/4W 5% Resistors (BOM = 91 x $0.021 ($1.91); but 100 are x $0.013 ($1.30))
Also, though it appears to be only 2 days old, there are already 3 items backordered on the BOM:
138x 10K ohm 1/4W 1% Resistors (currently stocked replacement:
https://www.mouser.com/Search/ProductDe ... 5FBF52-10K) [note that 200 units cost less than 138)
8x Film Capacitors 100volts 1000pF 5% (currently stocked, cheaper replacement:
http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Kem ... vLAx2PU%3d) [note that 10 units cost the same as 8)
4x LED Mounting Hardware (currently stocked, cheaper replacement:
http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Biv ... c15%2fg%3d) [same as in BOM, but white instead of black at 1/2 the price)
New BOM total: $174.49
Old/Current BOM total: $182.26
