Bump for new year (and because I've just fixed my Step 1 button which was not working properly)

So to recap -

1: Currently only the cowbell, Cymbal and Hihats are working.
2: Steps only work if there is an accent on that step.
3: If I join the collector of Q40, to the collector of Q8, all instruments work, obviously with the Bassdrum also being triggered by the hihat. Steps still need to have an accent on them for instruments to be triggered.

What/where to test? :?:

Many thanks. :)

Hey man, I am no expert and I am on the run but there is a clock signal trig that goes out every sixteenth note. If you are not getting those sent, then you can't get a sound. You should hear the clicking if you probe around in the circuit like I was mentioning.

Another possibility is your sequencer circuit is not sending things out properly, but only when the Accent is on.

Your best friend is the 808 service manual. That is the fastest way I solved most of my problems, and I had plenty. Vincent has that linked by the Yocto manual.

Hmmm...

Well I've checked I have continuity between the trig out of the accent and the trig in of the bass drum and I do, I'm using a scope to check the trigger, but can't really see what's going on with it...

So I made an audio probe today, and I found I have the quarter note pulse from the CPU and I can follow that all the way to the base of Q32 but then OH MY GOD IT'S SOLDERED IN BACKWARDS!

So, resoldered in correctly, and now I have everything triggering as it should, although the accent doesn't seem to have any effect, and I'm not getting any noise for the snare and claps, but I'll investigate that tomorrow, and start a new thread if I can't figure it out.

WAHOO!
