Shouldn't there be a fuse before AND after the transformer?

ElStroumpf gave me a 4-pole switch, would it be good to have the switch on both phase and neutral?

You can use this transformer but one with simple 15v secondary will do the job too.

The 4-pole switch is perfect. You switch both N and L. This is the the preferred way as sometimes and in some countries the power socket can be wired in a different way, so if you only have a one-pole switch you could be thinking you cut the live and it is the neutral depending on the way you positioned the plug into the wall outlet. Or even worse, in Belgium you still find 3 x 230 installations so there you will always have both conductors with juice on it....

I will share my internal power supply project with switch, fuse and voltage selector here soon so I hope we will be able to browse and explain everything needed for anyone interested.

So I ordered this transformer because it is "low Profile"

It still seems pretty big for this purpose. It does put out more than one amp but I thought that would be better than the next one down which was only 0.75 amps.

My question is do we really need a 1 amp transformer for the Yocto? That seems pretty big. But I don't want to go through the trouble of installing a smaller transformer and having it not work. The one i bought seems similar in size to the Myrra pictured earlier in this thread. It seems like a much smaller transformer should be able to power this but I'm hoping someone knows for sure. If the one I bought fits I will use it but I would rather have more clearance from the sound generation portions of the circuitry.

(ignore the holes and sloppy earthing, this is just a test setup while I debug my yocto )

This one fit no problem in the ElSchtroumpf enclosure and did not seem to add any noise. It works great.
