Sorry, Vincent, but that is the protective adhesive paper covering the black acrylic. So, no, it is not white

Exactly two weeks after being shipped out, I received my kit today, here in the western U.S. Power section completed and tested. I'm excited to continue tomorrow. (Yes...)

Hi effgee, Was your order

-Acrylic - Black , 3.0 mm, P3 - 790.0 mm long x 384.0 mm wide, Making: $23.37 Material: $21.00 Total: $44.37 ?

I find Ponoko rather confusing. Does anyone know, is there a simple way to edit the .eps file that Vincent provided, to add some art to the side panels, or interesting decorative cutouts?

Here are some more Ponoko quotes. The woods look nice, but too think I think.
- Acrylic - Fluoro Blue, 3.0 mm, P3 - 790.0 mm long x 384.0 mm wide, Making: $23.37 Material: $26.50 Total: $49.87
- Delrin - Black, 3.2 mm, P3 - 790.0 mm long x 384.0 mm wide, Making: $62.30 Material: $75.00 Total: $137.30

Best, KevinC

OK, found some nice tutorials on Ponoko, and photos of how the various materials take on vector or raster art: http://www.ponoko.com/make-and-sell/materials

So that leads to question -- anyone got any Roland logo (prefer the -909 lettering and logo) vector art? Best, KevinC

Thanks very much lfo2vco! That's a very clean pdf, better than the scans of the Roland manuals. Interesting that you sometimes see thicker or thinner versions of the R next to the Roland name in the manuals and ads of the time.

For reference to others, scan of TR-808 manual is here: http://media.rolandus.com/manuals/TR-808_OM.pdf

Warm regards, KevinC

So to clarify, to order the enclosure from Ponoko, should I have underneath the "Your 2D designs" the "tr_808_clone_virgin_v1.0b.eps AND the acrylic box file that is posted in the threads original post or just one of them?

Actually putting in the design of the yocto, is the most complicated part for me, not building it...:'(

I've added a picture of my design details from Ponoko, should I also have the acrylic box.eps in the 2D materials or is that just the same as the v1.0b.eps?

tip! ponoko will send you a code for 20% off your first order if you create your factory and add the design and wait for some days before ordering.

my total, with shipping, is now going to be $45. cooool

it looks like you can probably find a 20% off coupon if u look around coupon sites as well..
