  • Make sure you buy these spacers and delete the ones from the BOM (they don't fit properly):

    Also you can delete these:

The do not fit with Molex 22-27-2061!

You will need Molex 10-11-2063 to fit with 22-27-2061!

    You find them here: http://www.mouser.de/ProductDetail/Mole ... dmNg%3d%3d
  • Oh, and make sure to add a few more crimps as reserve in case you mess some up!

This is the crimping tool I used for both crimps (works perfect). You won't come very far with cheap ones...

  • I would also recommend to replace the switches in the kit with original cherry switches (better quality, longer life span):

I wouldn't buy sockets from Mouser. You can find them a lot cheaper from other dealers. You need 8, 14 and 16 pin sockets.

Also I get all resistors, capacitors, diodes and even some ICs from Tayda. This saves you a lot of money! I also prefer the Tayda resistors, as they have thinner legs which fit better in the small pads of the Nava PCB.
  • Thanks very much for the advice.

The crimpers look ideal, but unfortunately that website does not ship to UK and the uk price is nearly double on ebay and other stores!!! only ship with Germany.

Anyone else recommend a good set of crimpers around £100/euro?

    Thanks

    Edit:

Nevermind, i have found the crimpers cheaper :D

I actually needed a good crimper for the job i do, so I dont mind spending more on a pair that will last. Most of my pliers/ wire cutters are knipex so know the quality is very good

    Thanks again for your help
