Further to the complete lack of sound on my Yocto I re measured the instruments and came up with the following values which are all off and hopefully will help to point to why nothing is sounding.
Hi hat 14.2,-14.4
Cymbal 13.8,-13.9
Cowbell 13.8,-13.9/ 13.8'-13.9
Handclap 14.0'-9.5 ba6110 / -10.8
Rimshot 13.7,-13.8 / 13.7, -13.8 / 13.7, -13.8
High Tom 14.4, -14.5
Mid Tom 13.8, -13.8 / 13.8, -13.8
Low Tom 14.3, -14.5
Snare 14.0, -14.1 / 14.0, -14.1
Bass Drum 14.1, -14.3
Accent 2.1, 2.1,2.1
Master 14.3, -14.5
The Accent looks really off so I'm wondering what might cause this if anyone especially Vincent could shed some light on this. The other values are all off by a factor of 1.0 or 2.0 so again I'm wondering why this is. Any ideas would be really helpful before I start pulling parts out. Many thanks
No sound and all values are off
Reflowed all the pads on the Accent section and this has brought back the Bass and High Hats also fixed an issue I previously had of the Accent causing the bass drum to drop volume when increasing the accent value. (I'll need to still measure the values again to see if these have now improved too. )
However no other instruments can be heard. I understand that the noise section controls the Maracas and Clap. But will this affect other instruments too?

Further investigations have yielded the following. R151 was burnt out it was an 100r resistor and needs to be replaced. According to another thread this is connected with installing the faulty 4011 ic on the Accent that came with the kit. However replacing both the ic and burnt out r151 has no effect except that the bass and high hats now sound somewhat louder ( in a good way). Other instruments remain silent. Clarification as to why the 151 gets burnt would really be helpful.
The burnt out r151 though has got me wondering if any other components are directly affected and need to be checked for replacement?
Oddly enough testing the noise section as per the guide I cannot get any Ac reading when testing the points on the component side of the pcb. However testing from the other side yields a value of 148mv so getting close. But why is this so? Any ideas as I'm wondering if the socket for the ic is faulty.
