Yes it is still valid, as long as kits are available.
It's the case fom ponoko.

Hello,
At this time Full kits are not available, only half kits requiring a separate BOM and some extra steps (microcontroller programming).
At this time, it seems to be a work in progress to have a succesfull/complete build with a half kit. (it's only a matter of time actually)
In order to avoid unhappy people because of evolving documentation causing build delays, I suspend this assembly service until the process is further documented.

Hey Vincent just wanted to see if your still offering services to build the yocto 808's I'm trying to purchase one in the near future but have no soldiering experience.
