Hi,
Just finished the build a few days ago - all appears to be working fine

with the exception of the closed hi hat voice which has no sound. No shorts detected, components values and direction checked, no shorting to potentiometer. Could someone please give me a point in the right direction re fault finding with this issue. Thanks

Yes the open hi hat works fine.

Do you see the trigger signal for the closed hat? It enters at R16*, R17*, Q7* and Q8*. Might be worth checking out those two transistors.

Thanks. I can see the trigger signal at all those components. If it is a bad transistor can I check it in the circuit?

I think it depends how it is used = what its pins are linked to...
Check the amp related area. I had this kind of issue with a too close pin touching the body of the level pot.

fixed! Was probing around for an hour or so to try and find the fault and whatever was wrong suddenly righted it self. Annoying that I couldn't find out what the problem was. However, been jamming throughout evening and no sign of it reoccurring.
Case now finished and banging out some beats - amazing machine

Will be breaking out the x0xb0x shortly!
