HELP Switching 16/32 Step Pattern!!

Hi Guys,

I have a problem since I cannot set the length of a pattern properly.
Some of the Demo Patterns are 32 steps but when I make my own Pattern I cannot get 32 Steps.
I hold down Shift (in Pattern PLay / or Edit Mode) and then press the 17-32 button and then the Step Botton (i.e. 16) and nothing happens or rather when I'm in Pattern Edit Mode and Press Shift and then the 17-32 Button and the Step16 Button it plays pattern 16??
I have no idea what to do.

When I play a demo pattern with 32 steps and I press shift and Step 16 Button the demo pattern now is only 16 Steps long. But I cannot switch it back to 32?
What am I doing wrong?

OK ok Guys...I just found out myself...You can only chenge the Pattern lenght WHILE in Ptrn Edit Mode AND WHILE the Pattern is PLAYING!!

The manual has to be properly rewritten i guess!
