power supply question

Discuss Yocto construction and related issues
  • Polarity doesn't matter here because it's alternating current (AC).
So what you want/need is an AC output.
  • thanks I totally missed it was ac

so one of these should do it?

  • I don't see what the output is?

This is one that e-licktronic poiints out:

But i think this has an American connection.
  • Maybe someone in the UK can help you further finding a good power supply.

  • outputs 15v 1Amp

anyone in the uk can help?
  • I bet i've thrown away a few netgear supplies like that bottom one in my time :(
  • rofl

Guess which one was my initial adapter during the build?
  • I found a 17v 1000mA AC Adapter.
Could i use this, or will it damage the parts?
    Will calibration/values be off.
I intend to use an internal power supply eventually, but will it do for the build?
I have a 15v 1000mA ringtransformer for when i'm done but i' don't feel comfortable having 230v lying around while building.
EDIT: I went ahead and connected the 17v adapter and it works.
The circuit regulates the output voltages nicely as i kinda expected.
