  • No single product from that link i'm afraid.

But a guess is that you are trying to either include the fuseholder and/or power switch?
    I'm all for that.

Clicking on the link only uses half of the actual URL, you have to manually select the thing.

Here's link to the image file on that page.

  • Yeah, as i said: I'm all for that. Less clutter on the inside with fuses mounted IN the connector.

    I guess this might work;

  • Good idea to get one with a fuse in it (as per my post on other thread). Anyway, i'd rather not cause any delays to the prototyping! I've got my ext AC adaptor; planning to just use that.

    I do have a question:

Are the PCBs mounted the same distance apart in this case design as in the intended plastic case? I'm wondering if we can use the same length cables that come in the kit as these are quite short - particularly the ribbon cables.

    thanks!
  • If there is still room Im in for 1 enclosure! Looks great!

I hope I will be able to get a kit or pcb also...
  • I havent decided to go with external psu or internal so Im good with any of the alternatives for the enclosure (if I can join the groupbuy). The connector with a fuse looks great anyway!
  • Looking at the info on the internal PSU thread, seems like I will have to drill a hole in the bottom plate to attach an earthing point. I'll drill it myself because the enclosures are obviously painted after the cutting. To anyone who will install an internal PSU I will also supply 1 copper screw + washer + nut and 1 eye-type cable shoe. Also, all cable shoes (for the connection of the switch and C14) I'll supply are fully insulated.

@8bit : the distance should only be slightly larger than with the acrylic case design, so it should work with the supplied ribbon cables. Once I have the prototype I will mount my Yocto to see what happens, and I will post the results.

Changing the design is something that would happen after I receive the prototype, so there won't be any delay.
  • Hi,

I'm also interested to order case (+ socket and switch) if those are still available.

    Thanks, Tero
  • I've got some good news from the factory, apparently just moving and changing the hole for the C14+fuse holder won't bring any extra costs with it. So I will definitely implement this change into the final design.

I have 2 more enclosures left for a 40 unit order, so if you want one, now is the time!

This weekend I will do some research into other electronic shops to see if I can get a better deal, so the prices for all the extras might still change.
