I recommend to listen with headphones. The first hit is a sampled TR-909 SD, the second is my Extra9 with 1M resistor on Env2 and Env3 and the third hit is without any mods. The third hit definately has a longer tail.

Btw: only quality caps from Nichicon were used.

Very interesting. I've asked for some more 909 snare recordings so hopefully we can get some more audio to compare. One thing that is clear is the difference between all the recordings we have shared here. I do wonder if it could be just coincidence that the test audio my friend sent me sounds so similar the V1.02 snare without the mod.

As already mentioned in the original thread about this subject, I have a v1.0l and also have the issue. Was there a v1.00 sold ? It sounded very bad to have this oscillators sound lasting longer than the snappy part. I had two of the three osc lasting too long, and still have one that lasts too long, which I may work on just now.

EDIT: the last one (osc2) is related to the Extra9 mod but I seemingly disabled it and it is still a bit too long.

So.... Although it wasn't needed i received some more audio this evening and as you wouldn't believe

the mod is needed

My Nava 1.02 workin' fine without 1M mod. As it should, I mean. Two units had have this issue, but last three nope! It is components matter imo.

If it is components tolerance, the solution might not be a resistor of always a same value...?
