Hello
Last night I heard noise coming from the noise section! Yeah!!!
I sorted parts for the BD section, read the post about the BD error,
saw on the 1.01a board I have that there is a dotted line indicating placement of a jumper wire from P1' to P1,
and my question is (I read all i could find but am still in doubt)
Is the jumper wire all that is needed for the fix?
Or- do i still need to cut traces and solder legs of things together as shown in the build guide?
(I am building without the mux boards)
Peace!
Nava board 1.01a bassdrum P1' to P1 jumper

No, there is no other work needed. The build guide explains everything correct. Ensure your wire is arched and not flat to the board and fitted to the component side. In my first build a few years back i thought i would be smart and fit the cable flat and on the solder side - nice and neat - but i was still experiencing a low level of noise until i arched the jumper on the component side.
serum114 thankyou!!! <3
can't wait to get soldering again!

Enjoy it, be maticulous and you'll have a great working 909 clone. Definitely go with the MUX even if you have to get someone local to build them for you. The firmware has come on leaps and bounds since Zabox took it on.
so maybe i will NOT get soldering again so soon... how do you test each unit if
you leave out parts for the addition of the mux boards?
it must definitely be better to add them initially instead of afterwards...
thanks so much, man. i will be so stoked when i have this working.
dreams come true!

You can still test all the sounds leaving ic111 and ic114 unpopulated. Be aware that we are not using a standard dip socket for the MUX. Check the tutorial pinned at the top of this forum.
