Hello,
In the main part list is described you need 24 times ceramic 0.1 uF capacitors. They are also included in the Mouser BOM.
But I also have 4 film capacitors .1uF 50V 5% which are also included in the Mouser BOM.
Are the film capacitors for the PSU section?
Because my PSU is working correctly with the ceramic capacitors and since the 24 capacitors cover all needs, I am left with the 4 film capacitors?
Should I switch the ones in my PSU section?
0.1 uF film capacitor x 4 ?
Hey mate,
yeah had a little issue with this too. Bitconfusing they've got the same value. Also, in my BOM the film capacitors didnt have the value shown on the mouser bag, so i thought i only had the ceramic ones.
Anyway, whenever i'm in doubt, i cross reference the part-numbers from the individual part list (C188 for instance, as its the first 0.1 capacitor from the psu) against the main-part list. You'll see that C188 is a ceramic capacitor and comes in a bag of 24. So i think you're cool with the ceramic ones in the PSU
The film capacitors 100nf (C38, C45, C52, C135) are for your bass (2x), snare and clap. They're mentioned as 100nf in the individual part list, as opposed to the 0.1uf from the ceramic ones.
Aight, hope this helps, good luck chief.
