My issue with this kit/project

I have successfully built the kit without any problems. However, I am still without a case and I would like to change some things on the firmware.

I think the machine sounds great and it was well designed, but I don't agree with the lack of openness they have for this project.

I would really like to make my own custom case but they will not supply with the cad files so instead, I have to wait months for a case that might never arrive. If you are going to sell kits as big and as expensive as this one, and not include a case, you should supply the proper files to make your own case.

Also, I don't see their reason for being so protective over the source code. Why not release make it available when you start selling boards so the project can grow? If you scared about someone stealing the code for something else, there is already the midibox 808 sequence code which is much better in my opinion, and it's open.
