  • Dear KlangGenerator,

    R40 is a 0ohm resistor that part Digital GND and Analog GND.

    On the Mux/SH board Ics have to be this way. Red line have to match inclined side of the SOIC package.

  • finished the IO board and placed all the resistors on the mainboard . oke , so R40 on IO board is 0 OHM resistor.

    i found a few other diferences on the main board

    1-handclap R215 and R216 are swapped ? or is the silkscreen wrong ?

    2- hihat R454 and R455 are swapped ? or is the silkscreen wrong ?

    3- sequencer IC 1 what should that one be ? i guess TL072 ?

    4- IC 110 , C517 , C518 , C519 removed from main board and placed on the mux board ? i guess V1.02 can't be used without mux board because IC110 missing ?

    are there more changes we should know about ?

    please advise

    thanks.

    1-R215 and R216 position was swapped to improve PCB layer
    2- Idem
    3- Have a look on the tutorial, sequencer part this is explain,IC1 (TL072) replace IC110 (TL074)
    4-V1.02 can not be use without Mux_SH board and all Nava with firmware v1.024 or higher

    Follow the build documentation, it is updated ;)

  • Ok Thanks , i see it now :D

    however R40 is not mentioned in the build guide .
  • Hey Vince,

    I've been a little bit reckless building my three nava's.. :roll:
    I've build Noise, Snare- & Bassdrum with build manual. After that I lost my patience en went with the Eagle file & BOM. Yes I can hear you thinking, why?... :D

    Now the problem is the Eagle & BOM is V1 , where my version is V1.02 .. I checked the component numbers before placing them except when placing the resistors. So, mistakes made must be only made in the resistor department (Excl Noise, Snare- & Bassdrum)

    Little bit panic here, but I compared both pcb pdf layouts piece by piece (Except Noise, Snare- & Bassdrum..)

    As you and the topic starter already said. Resistor wise.

    These are switched on the new pcb layout:
    R215 - R216 --- HANDCLAP
    22K - 10K

    R694 - R691 --- SEQUENCER
    220R - 10K => I've noticed R694 has become 1.2K instead of 220R :shock:

    R454 - R455 --- HIHAT
    22K - 10K

    R40 => New on V1.02 --- I/O BOARD
    R289 V1 => Gone on V1.02 --- SNAREDRUM

    Now my question, is there a bom and Eagle file for V1.02? I would like to have a quick and correct way to build them. Anyway I am going to compare resistors values of the V1 bom with the building instructions for V1.02. I will post if I find any other differences.

    R289 is still present on the v1.02.

    Alright, Thanks!

    So, I did check all resistors and capacitors values. BOM & Eagle V1 VS Building guide V1.02. This is what I found. I really need your conformation before I can finish my nava's. (Because I build like V1 when I have a V1.02)

    V1 => V1.0X => V1.02 =>
    R699 = 1K R699 = 10K R699 = 10K (SEQ)
    R694 = 220R R694 = 1.2K R694 = 1.2K (SEQ)
    R124 = 10K R124 = 100K R124 = 100K (MT)
    R485 = 2.2K MISSING ON BUILD GUIDE => I assume it's still 2.2K (HI)

    C89 = 0,047μF C89 = 0,01μF C89 = gone (BD)
    C163 = 0,047μF C163 = 0,01μF C163 = gone (SD)
    C25 = 0,047μF C25 = 0,056μF C25 = 0,056μF (LT)

    So my question is the value of these correct, since I am building a V1.02 kit?
    R699 = 10K (SEQ) ?
    R694 = 1.2K (SEQ) ?
    R124 = 100K (MT) ?
    R485 = 2.2K (HI) ?
    C25 = 0,056μF (LT) ?

    You can omit R699, R700 and C524. Those parts are used for serial programming
    R694 is the backlight led current limiting resistor. I personally use 220ohms to get more brightness LCD
    R124 = 100K
    R484 = 2K2
    C25 = 0.056uF

    Hope this help ;)

  • R485 = 10K
