Yes, I know. I actually don't believe either that this will fix anything. But if you have them in sockets it would be worth a try. I found one user here reporting about HH decay problems in relation to those ICs...

    Really? Where is the thread?
  • Tried a new 74HC595N for IC112. Decay still not functioning...
  • I probed with a scope from Q72 to IC67 pin 7....... :ugeek:

Refresher of the problem. Decay is little taps instead of a HiHat Decay...

I did notice during the probing that R452 is connected to ALL 3 pins of VR23. Pin 1 should NOT be connected right?

 AND it looks to me that the problem (Little taps instead of the decay) re-appears at IC67A PIN 1

  • From e-licktronic just now...

"All mesure you gave me are ok.
The problem you describe as "little taps" is a software issue and we are working on it ;)
You will be advice when it will be solved."

Does anyone else's HH sound like this?

I'm afraid yes. There is definately something wrong if your CH just clicks like in that video.

    Ok so. VR23 is faulty. 1M - 1A 05.

I de-Soldered it and there is no continuity between pins 2/3 & 1. When I place it back in circuit there is continuity between pins 2/3 & 1.

This is why OH Decay does not work and could be why the clicking/tapping is on CH...........
