That's right!
I have replaced the Tantalum capacitor (C106) 1u , 3 times... and after 1 second it burns and stops working: does not allow modifying the Ride sound parameters of Extra 9.
So the Ride sound behaves like a original TR-909.
Why does that stop working that Tantalum capacitor (ceramic) 1u ?

I would look for : wrong polarity, wrong resistor values / shorts around.
