Does anybody know a snare decay mod? I'd linke to get a longer decay.
I think i probably have to change a cap for that but which one?

TR-8060 mods:

SD:

Snappy Filter :
22k(A) Potentiometer + 1k in parallel for R201 (22k)

Snappy Decay :
C51 (0,47µf) changed to 2,2µf
- in parallel a 250k (B) Potentiometer with a 22k Resistor in series

Tune OSC 1 :
2,2M(A) Potentiometer with 470k in series for R197 (820K)

Tune OSC 2 :
1M(A) Potentiometer with 470k in series for R198 (1M)

You want a longer decay than a TR-808 snare or you think your Yocto snare is shorter than the 808 one?

If second option, I think you should check the noise trimmer (and maybe change a resistor) to be sure you get the good voltage. It controls the level of the noise added in the snare (and toms and clap) and if it's too low, the snare's snappy (noise) will be more quickly gone, because initial level is already too low.

The is also some changes put as comments on the last page of the 808 service manual. Those changes are the most about the snare and they weren't included in the Yocto projet. I think they were specifically made to have a more accurate noise trimmer resulting voltage without having to change any resistor to get the correct voltage, but I'm not sure anymore.

I think for SD filter, it's not parallel, it's serial.

Putting a bunch in that I'll share shortly but I am looking for info on CB cutoff, hexinverter has it on the mutant cowbell but there is no schematic

Still from the TR-8060 partslist:
TOMS/CONGAS:

Reverb Level:
LO - 100k Potentiometer for R232 (100k)
MED - 100k Potentiometer for R261 (100k)
LO - 100k Potentiometer for R288 (100k)

Decay:
LO - 1ma Potentiometer + 470k in series for R230 (820k)
MID - 1ma Potentiometer + 470k in series for R259 (820k)
HI - 1ma Potentiometer + 470k in series for R286 (820k)
The issue is that the decay mod sounds horrible on the conga, so a solution is using a pole and throw of the tom/conga selection switch to shortcut the mod when the conga is selected.

in theory is a false problem because when the pot is set to minumum, the sound is the original conga, or no?
the 1ma pot, you can post a link??
and why sounds are terrible?
you can post audio/video if u have?

Video of the Diplodocus' moded yocto at 3:10 where we can hear the tom decay mod on the conga.

He also say that the decay mod is not very audible on the high tom.
