Dear Diyer,

Here is the last design of the Yocto case. 5mm MDF woods side with 3mm black acrylic case.
you need to cut out 3mm on each side of the overlay to stick on the front panel

Magnifique!

Each side is 3 layers of 5mm MDF ? They looks like 15-20mm.

Wow! This look killer! How much are the wood sides from Ponoko?

Does this design use the same nuts and bolts as the original case which were included with the kit?

You need 8 extra M4x30mm screws with nuts for the wood side .

Cool.

I had Online Laser Cutting (Australian mob) quote me on the new and the original design. I went with the original because they can only do 4mm MDF but they accidentally cut the new version. They're sending me the original tomorrow but I' just the MDF parts shy of the new case. I may have to get someone to cut the MDF pieces for me then I can pick my favourite.

Ponoko US only has MDF in 6.4mm and 3.2mm. Which would be better? Will 6.4mm be too thick for the screws or 3.2mm too thin? Thanks for any tips :D

think this new design could be made with all acrylic instead of MDF? I don't see why not but figured I'd ask
