Final decision on grounding the slide switches?

Discuss Yocto construction and related issues
  • I can't believe 15 people have viewed my question and nobody has the answer I seek, or they just didn't feel like answering :-) Maybe Vincent will see my question.
  • I didn't since the noise is really slight and doesn't bother me and happens only with the middle tom or something if i grab the switch with my fingers. Can't recall if it was even easily reproduceable with the case fitted. You don't need the case to test it out how it is on your build, just power it on and touch the metal parts of the switches - if it bothers you, do the mod.
  • Thanks a lot Rat, I do appreciate the info.
  • Why create a new topic about this?

Yes, in general every metal part should be grounded.
Turn up the volume and compare.

Be sure to check the revised manual.

  • I guess I must be stupid. I was only trying to make sure before I finished it up. I saw some said to do it, others didn't, so I wanted a final verdict, that's all. I'm sorry my post annoyed you.
