Pattern edit entering notes misbehaviour?

Hi!

When inputting notes in pattern edit, if I press two buttons at the same time it seems to be pretty random which ones it will take as a press. Example: I push down 4, LED lights up, then I also push down 5 and release both at the same time it doesn't acknowledge both. Is this normal behaviour? Sometimes I'm doing edits on the fly really fast and this trips me up quite bad. I'd expect it acknowledge both.

I already found one short (two resistor legs touching) and that resolved a problem I had with mute that when I enter mute mode I have to press twice to get the first channel to mute after which it worked normally.

Anyone else suffered and resolved problems like this?

Thanks,
Pekka.

Hi!

Had one friend try this also, same problem. Maybe other people want to check also?

press 4, press 5, release 4 , release 5 = both off
press 4, press 5, release 5, release 4 = both on

FW version is 2.0, atleast I get two kick sounds when pressing "reset" in Init EEprom

Ha! I tested in mute-mode and there the buttons work perfectly. I can press as many as my fingers let me at the same time and works fine.

So please mr. programmer who knows the codebase and has the dev-tools ready, please fix this as soon as possible?!

Hi halides.
I've tested it and I can confirm this weird (wrong) behavior!
I also have found something else which is quite strange: I did your test with the RS (RimShot) and when steps 4 and 5 are lit, the second hit sounds different from the first one. Can you try this as well and report back?
I noticed this difference (on the second hit) even with 4 + 6 and 4 + 7 lit. Seems it has something to do with how the sound is generated (decay value?!).

Finally - I'm also almost pissed off that nobody from e-licktronic is caring about the firmware for the first Yocto release. Seems that they're now focused on the Nava and Yocto new hardware release. It's kind of a shame, not getting any official replies nor support here...

My rimshots sound normal. Are you sure you don't have accents or outboard compression going on?

I've talked with Vincent via e-mail and we'll hopefully have good news about the firmware situation soon. Be patient, stay tuned.

No outboard compression and no accents at all. I'll try to record it and publish so you can hear.

That's interesting - how soon is "soon" gonna be?

Well, I just soldered the ICSP connector to the PCB, wired up to an UNO and am going to test reprogramming the 1284p once I get everything else up-and-running.

Pattern edit entering notes misbehaviour? It is be possible for everyone because i am waiting to always keep demanding programming assignment help. Some good notes are be showing how can we edit and how can we enter in the given notes which have good command on pattern.

This problem was fixed by an unofficial firmware update. You can read more about this here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1523

Cheers!
