Noise service manual / Germanium diodes

hey,
should i build the noise section right away how the service manual suggests ? or is there a reason not to ?
and about the germanium diodes, the build guide says 1n60, the part list in the shop 1N34A, does this matter ? just because i have some 1N34A... so which is more original ?
