The original audio that surfaced when this "fault" came about is exactly correct to a TR-909 and TR-8 and compared to my builds around that time. There is no fault with the circuit for sure. As for cheap caps, i don't use the Tayda film types but I hear often that they are good as for pole...

Turn the Nava to 12 o'clock ;) the instruments have a high vpp causing the master to overdrive at higher volumes.

The noise mod is only needed if you can not calibrate the noise part. I believe the V2 already incorporates the mod, I may be wrong.
