Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
To answer some questions, I had them make up a design based on the size of the overlay, so as small as possible. I asked them for a finished product, a 2 piece black enclosure with printing, that would just require screws for mounting the pcb and closing it all up. One detail I am not sure about yet...

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
I just got off the phone with the guy who's going to make the design of the enclose, he told me he would get back to me next week regarding pricing. We agreed that he make an offer per ten units, since I will have to deal with the payment/shipping for any potential buyers, and I don't want to make t...

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
I heard back from the company I contacted, apparently the guy I wrote to was on holiday and only handed over the necessary files to the people who make the actual design yesterday. I hope to have some news soon.

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
I think I have finally found a good solution for the enclosure alternative. I have contacted a company that does laser cutting, bending as well as printing... actually they have experience with enclosures since they make them for Rodec and Sherman. I will send them the files so they can make an offe...

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
I've had a reply from the company I contacted. They prefer production of at least 10 units, and in inox instead of black coated aluminum, which I don't find very interesting. I've found another laser cutting company through google who have their own printing machinery, I will see what they have to s...

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
Indeed, pOulp, I have just sent an email to ask about pricing for cutting several enclosures. I will post their answer as soon as I get it. I think they'll be more interested in making 20-30 enclosures than making just one.
A company that does cutting AND silkscreen would be better though.

Re: Exploring other enclosure options.
After some browsing I came across the Hammond 1456RL1BKBU enclosure. It's larger and more expensive than the 1441-30, but I want a sloped enclosure and this really does the job. It has vent cutouts and the back and bottom too. But the problem of cutting the panel still remains. I contacted a company...

Do you mean checking instead of controlling?
